Lately I've been thinking A LOT about perspective. This past year has been super transformative and much of that has to do with shedding patterns and thought processes that no longer serve my highest good. And instead replacing them with positive affirmations and expectations about the kind of life I want to live and the impact I want to have.
I'm learning to embrace my true nature, trust my intuition, and identify the activities and experiences that bring me the most joy. I'm also learning that while it's important to ask for what you want and expect the best possible outcome, that it's equally as important to release your grip on how things come to manifest. This means remaining open to surprise, and enjoying and trusting the process as it unfolds.
Because change is inevitable. Change is constant. And sometimes you have to get super uncomfortable and vulnerable in order to reach new levels of being.
As long as we remain open to it, there will always be another opportunity, another chance to show up, another fresh perspective to take. So-called "failure" isn't the end of the world. In fact, it's often a stepping stone toward that thing you're really meant to do. So I figure why not follow my curiosity and see what kind of sparks ignite along the way?
In practicing this, I've found that even the most subtle shifts in everyday life can change my outlook. Like making a point to look for something new I've never noticed on a walk I've done a hundred times before, remembering to smile often, or even just taking a sec to get quiet and breathe deeply helps me reset my "dial" when times get a wee bit tense.
You'd be surprised how quickly fear can turn into excitement once you shift your energy. And I think we can all agree that the world absolutely needs more positive energy than ever before.
With love + light,
